PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extender-mounted lens device preventing nonconpormities that the brightness of an image plane fluctuates just after finishing the switching operation of the magnification of an extender by performing diaphragm correction in the middle of the switching operation of the magnification of the extender, with respect to the extender mounted lens device, where the brightness of the image plane is made constant by correcting the diaphragm, so that an F-number is set constant, when the magnification of the extender is switched. SOLUTION: A CPU 34 does not perform diaphragm correction by detecting the kind of an extender lens inserted in a photographing optical path at present but performs it, based on the EXT control signal of a controller which designates the switching of the magnification of the extender, in order to perform the diaphragm correction to make the F-number constant, regardless of the magnification of the extender in the midst of the switching operation of the extender lens.
