PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide continuous service by executing processing with reception of the same telephone number without providing a special device to execute processing and to enhance the reliability of a telephone reception system even when any telephone reception computer is stopped. SOLUTION: In this multiplex system, communication is conducted between a communication interlocking software 35 of a telephone reception computer 3 and a communication interlocking software 45 of a telephone reception computer 4, and when, e.g. the communication interlocking software 45 of the telephone reception computer 4 detects that the opposite telephone reception computer 3 is stopped, it is instructed to a public telephone network 1 that a phone call arrived in the stopped telephone reception computer 3 is automatically transferred to a telephone set of the telephone reception computer 4.
