PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize communication using an electronic mail message. SOLUTION: Information transmitted to or from machines (for example, digital copying machine/printer 24) connected to a network is transmitted by using an electronic mail. The e-mail message may be the one transmitted to users. To execute a proper diagnosis or control function, the users can execute a file attached to a received e-mail message. The received e-mail message may be the one containing a code to automatically execute a desired function, and it is not necessarily required for the users to manually execute an arbitrary action for staring a proper processing. The e-mail message may be the one transmitted from a computer connected with devices monitored and controlled. |
