PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and system for processing coin which can be utilized for the recovery of stained coins and the use of the coins for payment after cleaning. SOLUTION: A coin processing device is provided with an inspecting section 7 which detects the denomination, authenticity, and stains of received and replenished coins. The stained coins and true coins discriminated by means of the section are respectively collected in a stained coin housing box 25 and different safes 10 provided correspondingly to the denomination of coins. When a prescribed amount of stained coins is collected in the box 25 reaches a prescribed value, the coins are sent to a coin cleaning device 130 and, after cleaning, supplied to the safes 10. The coins for replenishment housed in a loading safe 15 are supplied to and housed in the corresponding safes 10 after the coins are sent to the cleaning device 130 for cleaning.
