摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the magnetic disk drive with high track density by suppressing high-order track density by suppressing the high-order mechanical resonance that a rotary actuator has with simple constitution and expanding the positioning control bandwidth of a magnetic disk. SOLUTION: The rotary actuator means 7 which is supported in a freely rotatable state so that its gravity center position is not aligned with an axis of rotation and moves a magnetic head 2 to a target track generates the error signal corresponding to the position of the magnetic head by a position detecting means 10 and generates a control signal corresponding to the error signal by a position control means 11. A driving means 12 is arranged which supplies electric power to the rotary actuator means 7 according to a drive signal and a disturbance estimating means 14 estimates a disturbance applied to the rotary actuator means 7 by a disturbance estimating means 14 from the error signal and disturbance signal and outputs a disturbance estimation signal. Deterioration in vibration resistance resulting from putting the gravity center position of the rotary actuator means 7 off the axis of rotation is compensated by feeding the disturbance estimation signal forward to a driving means 12.
