PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost on the whole by unneccesitating providing a work RAM region of just before right answer half sound group data for each channel in a voice expanding section side. SOLUTION: This digital reproducing device is provided with an error discriminating circuit 5 discriminating whether half sound group data can be restored or not at the time of expansion processing, a DRAM 6 storing half sound group data and the error discriminated result, and a register recording only an address corresponding to half sound group data just before an error is not caused out of half sound group data read out from the DRAM 6. And the discriminated result is read out from the DRAM 6, when the discriminated result indicates that half sound group data to be expansion-processed cannot be restored at the time of expansion-processing, half sound group data stored in an address recorded in the register is read out from the DRAM 6, this data is transferred to a voice expansion circuit 8 alternatively.
