PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the productivity of an image read write integral head, to facilitate mount of components or the like in the case that the image read write integral head is combined with a platen roller to configure an image processing unit and to make the image processing unit small as a whole. SOLUTION: The image read write integral head is provided with a board 4 on the same side 4a of which a plurality of light receiving elements 3 and a plurality of print elements 8 arranged as arrays respectively and mounted, a case 1 that is mounted on the board 4 at the outside of the mount area of a plurality of the print elements 8 and has a transparent cover 19 to set an image read object area by a plurality of the light receiving elements 3 at the one side 4a of the board 4, and platen roller support means 2, 2 that are provided integrally with any of the case 1, the board 4 and a member assembled with them or separately from them and that can support platen rollers P2 (P1) opposed to a plurality of the print elements 8 or the transparent cover 19.
