PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a laser output even when a high frequency component is superposed on the laser driving current of a semiconductor laser element at the time of recording information with respect to recording media such as phase transition media and optical modulation MO media. SOLUTION: A laser output stabilizing circuit 10 superposes a high frequency component on the laser driving signal of a semiconductor laser element emitting a laser beam for recording or reproducing information being on a recording medium and changes the amplitude or duty of the high frequency component at a reproduction time and a recording time with respect to the recording medium and also controls the operation and the stopping of the superposing of the high frequency component in accordance with the kinds of information to be recorded on the recording medium at the recording time. |
