PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of accurately detecting the residual amount of developer by exactly calculating the consumed amount of the developer from the number of image dots in the case of detecting the residual amount of the developer in a developing means by an image dot counting system. SOLUTION: By calculating the consumed amount of toner by changing an operation expression in accordance with the used amount of a photoreceptor drum 1 where a latent image formed by exposure is developed by a developing means 4, the consumed amount of toner is exactly grasped and the residual amount of toner in the developing means 4 is accurately detected. |
