The automatic sorting machine comprises a first conveyor (28) for carrying out dimensional sorting relative to a pre-specified diameter of batteries (14). A second conveyor (40) is fitted with test means composed of a weighing device (48) for determining the representative weight of the electrochemical composition of each battery and a device (50) measuring voltage at the terminals of each battery. A robot (66) is connected by an electrical connection (54) to the test means. Activators operate several switching hatches (74A,74B,74C,74D) able to distribute the batteries to individual storage means. |
