Antivibration system e.g. for helicopter transmission unit has elastic ring and resonator connected to its inner surface by two vanes

The system, designed to reduce the transmission of vibrations between two bodies (2, 3), consists of an elastic ring (4) linked to the two bodies and able to deform under the effect of vibrations from one of them, and a resonator (5) linked to the inner surface (8) of the ring by two or more vanes (6, 7) that are supple in flexion and rigid in traction. The oscillating rotation of the vanes produced by a deformation of the ring under vibration causes the resonator to generate an anti-vibration inertial force reducing the transmission of vibrations from one body to the other.
