Process for preparing insoluble 3-quinolinecarboxylic acid complexes

Process comprising a) formation of the acetates of the 3- quinolinecarboxylic acids by reaction with acetic acid in an aqueous solution at 60-80degreeC; b) reaction of the acetates with sodium alkyl sulphonates in an aqueous solution at 60-80degreeC to form the corresponding complexes. These derivatives are insipid products which can be used in veterinary therapy for the preparation of pharmaceutical specialties in oral powder or oral liquid form and also medicinal premixtures for the porcine species.
