PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for document processing which auto matically update additional information and has no restriction on the addition, destination of the additional information. SOLUTION: In the document processing method which arranges the additional information, such as a tag and a marker, in an electric document as information visually inserted into the electronic document, the additional information is arranged in the electronic document, position information indicating the arrangement position in the electronic document and arrangement surface information indicating a document element on an arrangement surface is stored and held while relating them to the additional information, and the arrangement information of the additional information is varied according to the arrangement surface information when the electronic document is updated. When this additional information 50 is added in the electronic document 30 which can be handled similarly to a paper document, PD 53 of the arrangement surface where the additional information 50 is added is acquired and held in addition to the position information 51 of the addition position to move the additional information 50 according to the PD 53 on the arrangement surface. |
