摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the enlargement and reproduction of a magnetic domain with no repetitive reproduction, to reproduce a signal having a period below the diffraction limit of light without reducing the amplitude of the reproduced signal and to considerably increase recording density. SOLUTION: First, second and third magnetic layers 1, 2, 3 are successively laminated. The 1st magnetic layer 1 comprises a perpendicularly magnetized film having a relatively smaller domain wall coercive force and a larger domain wall mobility at a temperature close to the reproduction temperature than the 3rd magnetic layer 3. When the Curie temperatures of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd magnetic layers 1, 2, 3 are represented by Tc1, Tc2 and Tc3, respectively, the relation of Tc2<Tc1<Tc3 is established. Information is reproduced by heating the 1st magnetic layer 1 to the Curie temperature or above by irradiation with light beams.
