PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a good image over a long period of time by restricting the quantity of toner on the surface of a toner carrier by bringing a restricting member into a pressurized contact with the surface of the toner carrier, and at the same time if this toner is charged by friction, by keeping the toner appropriately electrified over a long period of time, even when image formation is carried out at high speed and preventing fixing of the toner to the surface of the restricting member. SOLUTION: In this developing equipment, it is constituted so that the quantity of the toner on the surface of the toner carrier is restricted, by having the restricting member 12 brought into a pressurized contact with the surface of the toner carrier which carries the toner to the image carrier and this toner is charged by friction. In this case, a plated layer 122 is provided on the surface of the restricting member 12 and it is set so that the Vickers hardness Hv is within the range of 600 to 900 on the surface of the restricting member 12 provided with the plated layer 122. |
