PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to properly predetermine the duration of a time window, by which a switching point in time is detected, in advance, by a method wherein the duration of the time window is set in advance so that a current, which is made to flow to a load, does not exceed a threshold during the period of the time window. SOLUTION: A time window, which is in a state that a switching means is continuously turned off at the point t3 of time, begins. As the result, a current results in rising. The current is adjusted toward a second value to the current from the point t4 of time. The current of this value is called a holding current. A control of a load ends at the point t5 of time. The switching means at this point in time is turned on and the current is reduced to 1 by the point t6 of time. At the point 0 of time, that is, at the start-up of an internal combustion engine, the minimum value BMIN is selected in advance so that the maximum current IB does not become higher than a threshold SW during the duration of the time window, that is, at the interval between the point t3 of time and the point t4 of time also in the case where the condition of this value BMIN is improper. |
