PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily and quickly attach and detach a rechargeable electric device, and in addition, to stably and easily set the electric device on a base in a self-standing attitude. SOLUTION: A battery charger has an inserting section 3 which protrudes from a base 2 and inserted into the fitting recessed section 4 of a rechargeable electric device 1. The battery charger 3 charges the device 1 while the device 1 is maintained in a standing attitude by inserting the inserting section 3 into the recessed section 4. The inserting section 3 has an elastic locking click 5 which is caught by a locking section 7 of the recessed section 4, and the click 5 has a hook 6 which is hooked by the locking section 7 of the recessed section 4. The hook 6 of the click 5 protrudes towards the locking surface 3A on one side face of the inserting section 3, and no hook is protruded toward the non- locking surface 3B of the section 3 on the opposite side. The base 2 has a tilt inhibit section 8 facing opposite to the non-locking surface 3B of the section 3. The tilt inhibit section 8 is arranged closely to the surface of the electric device 1 set on the base 2 and inhibits the device 1 from tilting toward the inhibit section 8.
