PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the dependency of a convergence rate on input power and to attain convergence speed acceleration and tracking function improvement by processing a multicarrier data signal to equalize one of multicarriers with an automatic gain control(AGC) element and a rotator element. SOLUTION: A receiver signal from a twist pair 136 is digitized through a hybrid 335 by an A/D 355 and made into spread discrete multitone(DMT) frame. Then, one of these DMT frames is extracted by a CE gate 360 and 512 output signals are inputted through an FFT 370 to an AGC + rotator 375 in place of a complex finite impulse response filter for one tap by restoring that symbol from each carrier. Then, that output signal are restored into parallel form and defined as output signals and those signals are returned to a serial form by a P/S 380. Thus, errors between bins are decreased and the difference of the convergence rate is decreased.
