PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic head device which allows a space to be secured for the position of a magnetic head, even if the dimensions are reduced between vertically loaded disk faces, and which enables the motor to have a thin shape. SOLUTION: Two magnetic heads 6 are arranged side by side in the disk face direction (radial direction R in this device) between the upper and lower hard disks 4, therefore, a space for the thickness C of one magnetic head 4 and a specific interval d necessary to avoid the mutual contact only need to be secured between these disks 4. Consequently, dimension E between the disks can be reduced by a thickness C portion of one magnetic head 6, thus facilitating the thin shape of the motor.
