PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure reliability of a product by optimizing a strength, a vent hole fraction and microwave leakage preventing performance of a heater cover, and maximizing a thermal efficiency of a halogen heater. SOLUTION: In the heater cover, a radius (f) of each vent hole 22 is set to three times or above as large as an interval (c) between the holes 22 in the state that there is no gap between rows L1, L2 and L3 made of vent holes 22 of the cover 20 disposed between a halogen heater 10 for generating a light wave and a cooking chamber 2. Further, a diameter 2r of the hole 22 is constituted to satisfy the formula ofλ/64<=2r<=λ/8, whereinλis a wavelength of a microwave to be used.
