<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely inform transmission accompanying information in real time, to improve operability and convenience by performing control so as to convert the stored transmission accompanying information relating to facsimile transmission to the format of electronic mail and transmit it through a LAN to an electronic mail address at the time of facsimile transmitting image data through a line network. SOLUTION: In this facsimile equipment 32, after starting the facsimile transmission of an original, the transmission accompanying information is immediately transmitted through the LAN to the electronic mail address corresponding to the facsimile number of the transmission opposite party as the electronic mail. At the time, facsimile data for facsimile communication are turned to a TIFF form, the header of MIME is attached, conversion to the format of the electronic mail is performed and the facsimile transmission through PSTN or ISDN is ended.
