<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlight to work well for the left-hand and the right- hand traffic lanes using a single light source bulb. SOLUTION: The boundary 59 between the intermediate bulb part and tail seal part 53 of a glass bulb 50 is positioned behind the line L5 tying the tail top angle 52BU of a high beam filament 52 to the inner surface angle of an inserting through hole 41 in the reflection surface 40 of a reflector 4. As a result, the light reaching the reflection surface 40 from the two filaments 51 and 52 does not permeate the tail seal part 53, so that there is no generation of a glare and a loss of photo-quantity does not occur. The boundary 59 is positioned behind the line L7 tying the tail top angle 51BU of a low beam filament 51 to the angle of the reflector 4. Therefore, the light from the low beam filament 51 does not permeate the tail seal part 53, so that there is no generation of a glare and a loss of low beam photo-quantity does not occur. Accordingly the light source bulbs 500 and 500' of the same sort can work well for the left-hand and right-hand traffic lanes.</p> |
