PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture electric wires using a gathering of dies having a gap while the structure is of half split type capable of suppressing an increase in the costs of dies, whereby it is possible to prevent over-tightening of the dies, prevent nicking of twined conductors constituting the wire by ensuring adjustment of the gap, and eliminate unbalance of the gathering part resulting from deformation of the wire. SOLUTION: A gathering of dies of half split type having a gap is configured so that a spacer 4 is inserted into the gap, and element conductors are twined so that an electric wire is accomplished in which twine layers are overlapped on the inside and outside. The spacer 4 should preferably have a thickness equal to or smaller than the gap of the die 1. Depending upon the shape of the gathering of conductors, the gap 2 should range between 3.0 and 1.0, and a half split die structure is fabricated, and the spacer 4 is arranged to suit it, whose thickness should preferably be under 3.0 so as to be serviceable even when the die 1 is worn. The spacer 4 should be of the same material of the die 1 or of a material harder than it 1 and have a width equal to or smaller than the contacting surface of the die 1 (if possible, equal).
