PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect at high speed a characteristic pattern which does not have a similar pattern fast, avoiding a fine pattern which is not suitable for matching, a texture pattern which has uneven luminance, a pure-white pattern, and an inky-black pattern. SOLUTION: While a window frame 11 is shifted in position as shown by the arrow A in a processing range 52 of a picked-up image, pattern matching between the image in the window frame 11 and the processing range which excludes the image in the window frame to the storage of the matching degree of the pattern matching are repeated, and the position B of the window frame where the lowest matching degree is obtained from among matching degrees of the pattern matching obtained by repeating the processes is detected as the position of a featured pattern. |
