PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a spread spectrum communication method that reduces interference among a plurality of spread spectrum communication systems autonomously and distributingly in each spread spectrum communication system. SOLUTION: A radio unit 1 of a system A allows a radio unit 4 of a receiver side system A to measure at least any of channel quality items of its own transmission channel such as signal strength of its own transmission channel and a bit error rate. Then the radio unit 4 of the receiver side system A informs a radio unit 1 of the system A about channel quality information based on the measured value. The radio unit 1 of the system A changes transmission power so as to satisfy the required channel quality on the basis of the informed channel quality information.
