PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply unit which can eliminate the consuming power of an AC adapter and the need for removing a power plug, when the output part of the AC adapter is separated from an external apparatus. SOLUTION: This power supply unit is provided with an input part 2 inserted into a power receptacle, an AC adapter 3 connected to the input part 2, and an output part 6 connected to the AC adapter 3 and inserted into an external apparatus 11. The AC adapter is formed, so as to convert AC voltage into DC voltage and stop energization to the AC adapter 3, if the output part 6 is separated from the external apparatus 11. |
