PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain stable surface mount for a piezoelectric vibrator single body. SOLUTION: A shape for a lead type piezoelectric vibrator is configured with an airtight terminal having at least two metallic rod leads 6, 7, a piezoelectric element supported by the metallic rod leads of the airtight terminal and a sealing tube 3 for air-tight sealing. Tips of the two metallic rod leads 6, 7 are pressed to be smashed to form flat parts 6a, 7a at the same time of bending processing of the two metallic rod leads 6, 7 or in a post process succeeding to the bending process 6, 7 so as to fix the flat parts 6a, 7a onto a printed circuit board. In this ease, it is preferred for a joint face of the flat parts 6a, 7a onto a land pattern of the printed circuit board that the joint face is processed to be a rough surface having ruggedness.
