PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium where recorded information is not damaged even if a strong magnetic field is applied, and its magnetic disk device. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a medium loading section 2 having a first detachable disk recording medium where a recessed part 22a3 or a projecting part is formed in a first recording surface 22a1 made of a soft magnetic material and specified information is recorded, and a reproducing means 4 for reproducing the information recorded in the recording medium. The reproducing means 4 is provided with a magnetic head section 5 slid to the first recording surface 22a1 and a reproducing circuit section 12 for applying a specified current to the coil part 5c of the magnetic head during reproducing to generate a specified magnetic flux in the core part 5a of the magnetic head section 5, and detecting a voltage exciting the coil part 5c.
