<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture display device in which a displayed picture is enlarged or reduced so as to easily observe a document picture as the picture data that include characters, diagrams and photographs. SOLUTION: A row dividing region extracting means 2 obtains plural row dividing regions in a row direction from an inputted picture of an input picture storing means 1. The row dividing regions are enlarged or reduced by an arrangement determining means 4 with a magnification, which is instructed by an expansion and reduction information specifying means 3, so that the arrangement order in the region is not changed and the position is determined. An enlarging and reducing arrangement means 5 arranges the pictures on an output picture of an output picture storing means 6.</p> |
