PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a revamped gun type burner capable of burning a fuel in a stable flame state. SOLUTION: A burner 1 is equipped, in a housing 2, with nozzle housing cylinder 3, a turning air stream production member 5, an a combustion cylinder 6. Further an air fan 8 is mounted on a square shape portion 20 of the housing 2. The turning air stream production member 5 is provided to include many wind direction plates disposed in an air introduction passage like a windmill whereby air from the air fan 8 is energyzed in a turning manner and is introduced into the nozzle containing cylinder 3. Between the combustion cylinder 6 and the nozzle containing cylinder 3 an orifice plate 28 having an opening 30 is provided at the center thereof. A turning member 40 is provided downstream the opening 30 in the orifice place 28. The turning member 40 is provided downstream the opening 30 in the orifice plate 28 with the aid of a fixing tool 60 such that the opening 30 and a groove are opposed to each other.
