摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly and rapidly perform the start of both a heating operation and a cooling operation by preventing the unnecessary pressure drop of a high- pressure refrigerant compressed by a compressor, and reliably and rapidly switching over a four-way valve when the operation of an air conditioner is started, irrespective of an initial state of the four-way valve. SOLUTION: An engine-driven heat pump type air conditioner 1 has a cooling liquid circulating cycle for cooling an engine 2 and a refrigerant circulating cycle in which a refrigerant as a heating medium for the heat pump type air conditioner circulates, and also has a waste heat recovery unit 9 which effects heat exchange between a cooling liquid circulating in the engine cooling cycle and the refrigerant circulating in a heat pump type heat exchange cycle. The waste heat recovery unit 9 is disposed at a portion between a four-way valve 14 and an accumulator 13.
