<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically calculate the worst and the best necessary link capacities, to optimize the topology of a network and to obtain a tool for deciding optimum router arrangement by providing a step for stipulating a replacement parameter as a specified mixed integer programming expression or the like. SOLUTION: A communication network designing method is provided with a step for stipulating the replacement parameter as the mixed integer programming expression of a formula and the step for deciding one of the optimum number of first type routers to be replaced by the second type router in a network and the corresponding replacement position from the mixing integer programming expression. In the formula, V' expresses the group of nodes corresponding to the one consisting of the first type routers, E' expresses the group of links for connecting the routers, Qi expresses expenditure concerning updating the router i and Si,j expresses an expenditure reducing value. Xi expresses a binary decision variable number, Yi,j expresses a subordinate variable number and Nmax expresses a parameter for stipulating the max. number of the first type routers where replacement is permitted.</p> |
