PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic carrier for an electrophotographic developer excellent in durability and having stable electrostatic chargeability. SOLUTION: This magnetic carrier comprises a magnetic particulate powder having 10-200μm for average particle diameter, obtained by coating the surfaces of magnetic core material particles with a resin composition which consists of a metallic curing agent, a silane coupling agent oligomer and a silicone resin.
