PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce entry man-hours of common telephone directory data in a cordless telephone system. SOLUTION: This cordless telephone system consists of a master station and plural PHS terminals connected to the master station via radio channels, a nonvolatile memory 10b stores common telephone directory data (department name, name, telephone number or the like) required by each PHS by an operation section 10a in a microcomputer 10 of the master station in advance, and when a PHS requests to the master station for master slave registration, an operation step for the master slave registration is provided with an operating step to send telephone directory data having been registered in advance to the PHS sequentially via a PHS base band signal processing section 4, an RF transmission section 3 and an antenna 1 and the PHS side stores the received telephone directory data in a memory provided for the PHS.
