PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of air bubbles in a part of a sealant to enhance sealing capability by using an almost L-shaped output terminal to be welded to the top of a battery after being fit to a bushing and burying a notch formed in a corner part where a bottom surface parallel to a cover and a side surface vertical to the cover cross, the bottom surface, and a part of the side surface with a sealant. SOLUTION: A notch 11 is made in a corner part where a bottom surface 12 and a side surface 13 cross, an output terminal 6 manufactured by casting a hard 3% Sb-Pb alloy and an assembled part of a bushing and a post are welded, and preferably, a sealant of thermosetting epoxy resin is filled and cured in the frame of an upper cover. Air is easily replaced with the sealant, generation of air bubbles is suppressed, and leak of an electrolyte is reduced. In the case where the shortest distance from the contact part with the bushing to the notch 11 on the bottom surface 12 is 8 mm or more, or the dimension in the bottom surface direction of the notch 11 is 10% or more of the distance, air bubbles are easily generated, and effect of the notch 11 is enhanced.
