PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wide machine room and to contain complicated refrigerant piping by providing a side portion of an outdoor unit body in the room, providing an extended space at a back surface side of the room, and providing upper and lower covers for blocking upper and lower openings of the space. SOLUTION: A machine room 1 of the outdoor unit is formed of a front panel 3, and an L-shaped panel 4 of an outer profile sheet metal member integral with side and back surfaces. An extended space 5 is formed on the back surface of the room 1. The space 5 is molded in a box shape by bending the panel 4. A compressor 6 is disposed in the room 1, and a fan 7 and a heat exchanger 9 are disposed in a blower chamber 9. Upper and lower covers 13, 14 are respectively provided to block upper and lower gaps 15, 16. Thus, the space 5 is provided to assure the wide room 1 to store a complicated refrigerant circuit. |
