PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire capable of preventing electric components from being exposed at the time of light distribution adjustment. SOLUTION: A reflection board 2 in the form of a parabolic curved surface is installed in a luminaire body 1 formed as a rectangular casing having a rectangular opening 1a in the under-part. The reflection board 2 includes a lamp 3 of straight tube type, and at the two ends of this lamp 3, sockets 4 are installed for holding the lamp 3 in electric connections. A stabilizer 5 is installed on the surface opposing to the opening 1a of the luminaire body 1. The reflection board 2 is supported pivotally rotatable around the center of the lamp 3 as a rotary shaft. The reflection board 2, lamp 3, and socket 4 are arranged so that the rotary shaft is positioned inside the luminaire body 1 so that the board 2 does not protrude from the body 1 when the board 2 is rotated. A shield plate 6 is installed inclining from the open edge of the luminaire body 1 upward inside the luminaire body 1 and is positioned as tracing approximately the outside circumference of the turning track of the board 2 in such a way as covering it approximately.
