PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium capable of reading necessary information from an area where bits of content information are recorded, and then writing this information in a new area to record a new content. SOLUTION: In an optical disk OD having a recording/reproducing layer D2 and a protective layer laminated on a substrate, the recording/reproducing layer D2 includes a ROM D3 provided in the inner or outer peripheral side of a recording medium D0 for recording plural bits of element information constituting content information, and a RAM D4 provided in the outer or inner peripheral side for recording new content information constituted of a desired number of element information, these portions being divided on the same plane, and by using the desired number of element information taken out of the ROM D3, the new content information is recorded in the RAM D4. |
