PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To align the center position of an image frame with the center position of a negative mask by accurately discriminating the center position of the image frame regardless of the state of an image. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a controller 4 detecting the edge on a carrying upstream side and the edge on a carrying downstream side of the image frame by a line sensor 30 when a negative film 1 is carried by the driving of a stepping motor 24, obtaining the center position of the image frame by arithmetic operation from the detected result and stopping the motor 24 at timing that the center position of the image frame reaches the center position of the negative mask 17.
