PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start the analysis of a waveform, without waiting for the finish of a measurement by a method, wherein during acquisition operation, a past waveform is displayed or printed out. SOLUTION: When an acquisition operation is started, only a roll screen is displayed. At a stage at which the acquisition operation progresses to a certain extent, it is desirable to observe a past waveform. At this time, a desired past region is designated by using a cursor or the like. Thereby, measured data which is stored in the past region is read out from a memory 3, and the waveform of the measured data is displayed on a past waveform screen. By moving a cursor, an arbitrary past region can be designated. When the display of the past waveform is not required, a prescribed button is pressed, and the display of the paste waveform screen is erased, and thereby, this procedure is returned to a roll mode in which only the roll screen is displayed. In addition, the roll screen and the past waveform screen may be changed over so as to be displayed. Moreover, the waveform of latest measured data and the waveform of past measured data can be observed on one screen.
