PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability, elongate life of a linear actuator, and attain its clean and compact structure. SOLUTION: A ball nut 9 is screwed with a ball screw shaft 1 through a plurality of balls 12. A ball nut 9 has a base end connected to the ball nut 9. The ball screw shaft 1 and the ball nut 9 is arranged inside a casing 2. One end of the ball screw shaft 1 is rotatably supported by a rolling bearing 4 arranged inside a first opening 3. An outer peripheral surface of an output bearing member 17 is supported by a sliding bearing 21 fixed to an inner peripheral surface of a second opening 20 movably in an axial direction. Lubricating oil is sealed inside the casing 2 by a specified amount. Oil sealing is performed between the inner peripheral surface of the first opening 3 and the outer peripheral surface of the ball screw shaft 1, together with the inner peripheral surface of the second opening 20 and the outer peripheral surface of the output shaft member 17, respectively.
