PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably fit a conductive shield of an insulating housing to a circuit board at a low cost by fitting one member formed by bending a narrow long plate member into a U-shape on the insulating housing, and arranging the other member at a right angle against the described member so as to form a side plate. SOLUTION: A contact part 116 provided with a conductive terminal 114 having a tail part to be connected to a conductive part of a circuit board at a fitting surface 106 side thereof is housed in an insulating housing 100. A first U-shaped conductive shield 200 is fitted on the insulating housing 100, and side plates 204, 206 are bonded to a first and a second side surfaces 108, 110 through a bonding panel 202. Furthermore, a second U-shaped conductive shield 300 is fitted thereon, and side walls 304, 306 are bonded to a third and a fourth side surfaces 112, 113 through a bonding panel 302. In this connector 10, the conductive shields 200, 300 are respectively formed by bending a narrow and long plate member and providing fitting legs 210, 212, 310, 312 to be engaged with the circuit board in a lower part of each side plate.
