PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device where a desired function is registered to a prescribed key so as to avoid complicated key operations. SOLUTION: In the communication terminal device 1, after a registration start key 16i is depressed and any of registration keys 16e is depressed, a function set by a setting key 16g is stored in a RAM 13 in cross reference with the registration key 16e. After the registration, the function is set effective ('ON') or invalid ('OFF') by having only to depress the related registration key 16e. Thus, a desired function is registered to a prescribed key to avoid complicated key operations.
