PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely bury a ground rod in a short time with excellent workability even in a narrow place by fitting a cylindrical pipe on the whole of a ground rod vertically inserted into the ground, and vertically moving a rod inside the cylindrical pipe so that a hitting part of a tip thereof abuts on a head part of the ground rod. SOLUTION: A tip of a ground rod 6 is vertically inserted into a shallow ground 13 by hand, and an iron pin 9 is fitted to the upper end thereof through a fitting pipe 10 so as to prevent the deformation of the head part due to hitting. This ground rod 6 is covered with a cylindrical pipe 1 having a length 1.2-1.5 times as long as the whole length of the rod 6, and erected through a stand ring 8. A metal column rod 2 having the outer diameter dimension, which smoothly abuts on the inner diameter side of the pipe 1, is fitted in the cylindrical pipe 1. This rod 2 has about 5-7 kg of deadweight so as to have a balance effect similar with a hammer, and a grip part 5 having a hitting part 3 at a lower end thereof and having a flange part 4 as an upper end thereof is fitted to the rod 2. The rod 2 is vertically moved while gripping the grip part 5, and the ground rod 6 is hit downward for burning through the hitting part 3.
