PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve electromagnetic transducing characteristics by preventing the occurrence of ski jump. SOLUTION: This magnetic head is provided with a head supporting body whereon 1st and 2nd rails 11, 12 are formed on the surface opposite to a disk- like recording medium so as almost in parallel with the running direction of this disk-like recording medium, a 1st magnetic head element 9 for writing and/or reading a signal to and/or from the 1st disk-like recording medium while being provided on the head supporting body so that a magnetic gap is fronted onto the outside from the surface of the 1st rail 11 opposite to the disk-like recording medium, and a 2nd magnetic head element 10 for writing and/or reading the signal to and/or from the 2nd disk-like recording medium having the recording density higher than that of the 1st disk-like recording medium while being provided on the head supporting body so that the magnetic gap faces the outside from the surface of the 2nd rail 12 confronted with the disk-like recording medium, then a groove part 25 is formed on the surface of the head supporting body opposite to the surface whereon the 1st and 2nd rails are formed, and a coil is wound around the 2nd magnetic head element 10 in this groove part.
