摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit a prozone phenomenon without lowering the change amount of an absorbance by a method, wherein bivalent metal ions which are easily obtained are used as a prozone-phenomenon inhibitor for C-reactive protein(CRP) measurement. SOLUTION: As bivalent metal ions, magnesium ions, calcium ions, manganese ions or the like are suitable. As the compound which supplies the bivalent metal ions, magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, manganese chloride or the like is suitable. In a CRP measuring system which includes a prozone phenomenon, the concentration of the bivalent metal ions which normally exist in order to inhibit the prozone phenomenon is preferably 0.75 to 100 mM. In measurement, a CRP measurement which uses a known antigen-antibody reaction may be executed while a measuring operation, the measuring time and a measuring condition such as a measuring wavelength or the like are kept as they are, other than the measurement of the bivalent metal ions. As long as the antigen- antibody reaction is not obstructed and the measuring sensitivity is not lowered, an ordinary CRP reagent component such as a buffer agent or the like may be used as is.
