PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the degree of freedoms of designing without increasing a board size by effectively utilizing front and rear surface of the one board. SOLUTION: Pixel each having a photoelectric converter 2, a capacitor 3 and a TFT 4, and a signal line 5 for reading a signal through the TFT 4 of the pixel are formed on a surface of a glass board S. Vertical selection lines 6 each for selecting each pixel are formed on a rear surface of the board S, electric contacts 1a are longitudinally provided on the board, and a gate of the TFT 4 is connected to the line 6 through the contact 1a. Thus, the lines 5 and the lines 6 are intersected through a thickness of the board S to reduce a wiring capacity therebetween.
