PURPOSE: A snow noise attenuation device in weak signal using AGC(auto gain control) voltage of tuner and method therefor is provided to discriminate and compare AGC voltage automatically varied the strength of a signal in a tuner and change the sharpness control characteristics, thereby changing the peaking and sharpness gain of video signals. CONSTITUTION: A snow noise attenuation device in weak signal using AGC voltage of tuner comprises a signal amplifier(21), a tuner(22), an SAW tuner(23), a video/audio detector(24), an audio trap/video peaking unit(25); a video chroma IC(26); a chromatic signal amplifier(27), a horizontal/vertical synchronous divider(28), a horizontal/vertical driver(29), a micom(30), an audio controller(31) and an audio amplifier(32). The amplifier(21) amplifies broadcasting signal to output RF signal. The tuner(22) converts the RF signal into IF signal and make up/down the converted the output gain of the IF signal on the basis of AGC voltage. The SAW filter(23) attenuates the IF signal. The detector(24) detects CVBS(combined video broadcasting signal) and audio signals in the IF signals. |
