METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CONNECTING AGREEMENT FOR CIRCUIT AGENTIAL SERVICE IN ATM EXCHANGE

PURPOSE: A method for controlling a connecting agreement is provided to perform the control of connecting agreement by converting a parameter of an ATM(asynchronous transfer mode) traffic characteristic without a separated device for securing a quality of a circuit agential service in an ATM exchange. CONSTITUTION: At receiving a request of a new circuit agential connection, a communication state or a middle state is defined by checking a time slot appointed in the new circuit agential connection. An amount of band to be allocated in the new circuit agential connection is decided based on a peak cell rate combined a security and non-security. After the amount of band during using inside an ATM link to be established the new circuit agential connection is calculated, the using amount of band and the amount of band allocated in the new circuit agential connection are summed. The new circuit agential connection is agreed by checking if the summed amount of band is over a permitted amount of band.
