A dog walking rope (6) comprising an extensible mechanism constructed by winding a rope body (1) helically and tightly on a cylindrical tension coil spring (2) in a contracted state so that the rope (6) may extend when pulled strongly, while the rope body (1) and the cylindrical tension coil spring (2) pushing each other and being helically entangled, and may restore its initial shape and length when the pull is stopped.
